| Tasting notes |
| It is a sophisticated elegant wine. Beautiful ruby red color, Intense cassis, strawberry flavors, with combined hints of black cherries and chocolate. Oak is not predominant but well combined and still present in the background in order to keep the fruit as a principal character of this wine. Solid and ripe tannins but with 2 years of aging already soft and friendly. An outstanding wine for bottle aging (5-10 years). |

Wine Advocate 91 points (Jun 2009) The 2007 Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon raises the bar considerably. A glass-coating opaque purple, it has an excellent bouquet of toasty oak, tobacco, espresso, and blackcurrant. With good richness, excellent depth, and a firm structure, it will evolve for several years and drink well through 2019. Wine Spectator 89 points (Jul 31 2009) A juicy, flattering style, with tasty braised fig, currant and blackberry fruit liberally laced with aged tobacco and dark black pepper notes. Stays nice and fleshy through the finish. Drink now through 2010. 120,000 cases made. –JM |
